Patty McGrew – Owner and Founder
Patty has lived in the Imperial Valley for over 50 years. She majored in Home Economics at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and graduated from San Diego State University. She has been an active member of the community. Involved with 4-H as a leader and Community Leader for 20 years, served on the California Mid-Winter Fair Board for 18 years, three as President. She has served on the Imperial Valley Community Foundation Board. Because of her interest in food preparation she personally works with our staff in this area.
Jennifer McGrew Thomason – Owner / Founder / Director
Jennifer is a native of the Imperial Valley. She earned her B.A. from Northern Arizona University in Social Work. She is an active member of the community serving on the El Centro Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees for 10 years, two as Chairman. In 2001 she founded and guided Alegria Adult Day Health Care in Calexico from a 20 Participant attendance to 184. Upon leaving Alegria she is now managing Heart and Hand full-time. Her experience with hospice, palliative care and generally working with and for the elderly is truly a positive addition to the excellent care we are able to provide. Jennifer is a member of the El Centro Police Advisory Board, El Centro Rotary Club, El Centro Sunsations and is a 4-H project leader. Both she and Patty are members of the El Centro and Imperial Chambers of Commerce.
